Okay, this is an old topic!
I rarely advise clients use HiJack This. Not because it's not a great product because it IS one of the three recommended by the pro's.
But, I rarely advice they use it because to use it, one must understand the directory structure of the machine, as well as which files (executables) are okay to delete and which are not.
I like to get to know my customers and depending on their level of computer knowlege, I'll either run it for them while I'm there working for them, or if they are good, I'll tell them about it.
A lot of damage can be done that most folks won't know how to undo with this program. The key is before you begin, BACK UP, BACK UP, BACK UP! LOL
