Aquavite is a potato based liqour, that is very very strong,, but my goodness does it help to get rid of all that heavy food.  Theres another brand called Gammel Dansk, means old dannish (old denmark)  that is red in color an made from 42 different herbs with the potato base.  Hola cripes it will curl your toes.  but ohhh so good. both are excellent in helping your body to digest all that unwanted fat from foods,, its how scandinavians keep their blood and arteries clean.  (or get drunk!! lol)  Strong stuff i tell ya.

I made Pennys recipe, an it was a hit with my husband.  next time instead of bacon i'm going to use cod or somekind of fish.. and ofcourse serve with Aquavite,,,

Aquavite is sold in the states,, i used to use it over there too.  don't buy the cheap stuff, get something that has quality.

Trust me, I don't have any plans for getting rid of him.  wink5

Tonight we are having Taco Rollups.  It's supposed to be OAMC meal but I'm not going to make up a bunch of these only to discover that no one likes them.

Alrighty, no flour, so we are having broccoli cheese soup.

you may need to explaine your foods to us a bit .. we are not so worldly as far as foods go.. 42 herbs is awsome though I should have that anyhow I am sure it will chase the cigarettes out of my body idea

I've got chicken out for tonight.  I'm thinking about hunters chicken.  But I haven't decided.  This is a cut up frier so I may do fried chicken instead.  Or maybe something else.  I don't know.  Maybe later today I'll have figured it out lol.

Duh, I'm not sure how big the crockpot you received is, but my Beef Stroganoff recipe can go in a very small crockpot.  Wink

Well last night it ended up being roasted chicken with cherry jello for desert.  Not exactly a well rounded meal.  But it was nine o'clock before we got back from grocery shopping and I was pooped.

Tonight it is Pepper Steak, rice, and more cherry jello lol.

Been a busy day around here, but I made a pot of chicken noodle soup to try to fight off the cold I'm trying to get.  SmileyFit  Actually, it hit the spot since I haven't had any good homemade chicken noodle soup in quite  some time.   wink5

Hey Rita congratulations.  I stopped a couple of years ago.  Now it's just the smell of smoke that will really give me a hard time.  But I don't go after smokers like some x-smokers do.  I remember how much I disliked people doing that to me.

I used to have a boss that swore it was the dill in the chicken noodle soup she made that got rid of the cold.  So now when ever I make it I add alittle dill to the pot.

I just finished off some bacon.  I should have waited and made a blt but I didn't think about it at the time.  I will next time.  Maybe I'll do a turkey lettuce and tomato instead.  I'm still hungry.

Well, Duh, if that's true then my Chicken Noodle soup isn't going to work on getting rid of my cold, since I've never put Dill in it.  smileyNo

Boy, your BLT sounds good, but I just don't think they taste the same when you can't use the fresh tomatoes out of your garden.   SmileyFit

When I got up this morning I had planned on making pork chops for dinner, but then I started thinking about Swiss Steak.  So, I guess tonight's menu will be Swiss Steak, Scalloped potatoes, peas, and stewed apples.
