RIAA Announced yesterday
« on: Jan 07, 2008, 09:52:32 PM »
The Recording Industry announced yesterday that as far as they are concerned
it is illegal for us all to copy music Cd's that we have bought to our hard drive or to our MP3 players.

I guess that means we aren't even allowed to back them up, which is what I do. All Cd's scratch and get worn out eventually.

Of course, I have a few choice words for "The Industry".. but I can't print them here.

Thought you'd like to know.... Peg
How are you?  I'm great!  Glad to see you! Hope we meet again!

Yeah, they have been talking like that for years.  I'm not surprised.  We have been dealing with the same thing with Dianna's karaoke business.  We buy the disk and then put them on the hard drive and she and Bonnie run the show from a laptop.  The software company that makes the software that they use is pretty good size and has taken the fight to Stellar Records and ASCAP.
