Right now, I'm starving and it's too nasty to walk over to the cafeteria,
so I'll probably get some cheese and crackers out of the machine. I haven't even given a thought to what I'm fixing for dinner,
but it will be something warm and filling.

It ended up being such a long day at school, I finally decided on Fried Chicken, Cole Slaw, mashed potatoes with gravy and a biscuit for dinner.
It tasted wonderful.
Of course, I kinda cheated and stopped at KFC on the way home!

Tonight we are going to my brother's house to deliver the very, very last of the girl scout cookies. I can't wait to be rid of them all!! My bro offered to cook dinner and I'm bringing some sides. I promised to make potato salad--I didn't realize I was out of potatoes! Good thing that Dillons makes a good potato salad! I should make something nice instead... Maybe really good brownies...

I just made some tuna salad for lunch and had a hard-boiled egg and tomato wedges. This should hold me off until I decide what to fix for dinner.

Yep, Tonya, that's certainly one of the biggest advantages of being the cook, and I love it!
Tonight I decided to made a hot Italian Sub sandwich and I was going to fix one of my Italian salads to go with it, but as the temperature dropped so did my interest in eating a cold salad. I took one of my containers of homemade beef vegetable soup out of the freezer and had a bowl of that with my sandwich. Now I can take some soup with me for lunch tomorrow.

Tonight we're having biscuits and gravy. I was going to make it Thursday but instead of leaving school at 4 or 5 I wound up leaving at about 7:30 - so we grabbed something on the way home.

Well, I was outside most of the day, so for dinner I just made some tacos and refried beans.

Tacos and refried beans sounds good, Patches!
Tonight we're having scalloped potatoes and ham and whatever I feel like making for the side. I feel like making a NAP. I'm sooooo tired.

The tacos were delicious, Sarah, but I loaded them up with black olives, tomatoes, lots of cheese and my Creamy Guacamole. Of course, the tomatoes don't have much flavor at this time of the year.
Last night, I soaked my beans, so it's going to be Ham & Beans with some cornbread and lots of butter for dinner. It's a cold and gloomy day so this will really taste good and if we have school tomorrow, I'll already have my lunch.

I think the girls are going to be making dinner tonight. We'll be having chili dog casserole. Hopefully it works out. One of those it-works-just-fine-in-my-brain recipes. Mix up chili and chopped hot dogs and then top with some cheese and top that with yankee cornbread batter and bake according to the batter directions. Should work. Some sorta veggie on the side. I'm really craving salads...

Lazy day around here, so I just fixed some Beef Stew in my crockpot! I figure if it ever warms up these kinds of meals won't be very appealing,
so I need to enjoy them now while it's stiil cold!

Last night we had Red Bean and Rice with some broccoli tossed in. I could live off of that. Mmmmm.
Tonight I think we're going to have pork and rice enchiladas.

It's my long day at school and I think I'm going to just stay out here instead of driving home for dinner. Guess this means it will be Captain D's or Jimmy Johns for dinner. Geesh, red beans and rice sure sounds good, but there's no place close enough for me to get something like that.

Patches, I just use the mix that Zattarins puts out. In the rice aisle, usually the top shelf. Cooks up in 25 minutes.
Tonight we're either going to have Spaghetti and Garlic bread or ... something else... like an Oven Chicken and Rice Bake. And what's up with the 'bake' word these days? Is casserole a bad word or what? Not trendy enough, maybe.

Thanks a bunch, Sarah, I'll have to try that!!!
I haven't decided on dinner yet, but it's Friday, so my choices are a little more limited.
I had a big bowl of Clam Chowder for lunch and it was good.
