Since we are moving, we will be fixing dinner at home more often. What recpies do you have for quick & easy dinner? Would like any ideas so I can get a cookbook going of recipes from here. That's an idea, we can all put recipes on here & make cookbooks. Just a thought.

I have several recipes I use as quick dinners, but they are so common, at least in this family, that no one ever bothers to write them down.

Are you thinking things like spaghetti?  dunno

Jennifer, I think one of my all-time favorites is my Beef Stroganoff that I fix in my Slo-Cooker.  It's really quick, easy and really delicious.

Here is a link to the recipe that is posted in another topic:

I am like Sarah and the quick and easy ones never get written down.  I know there is a thread here already for crock pot recipes and there are a lot of good ones in there.  And I know we have all talked about our favs from time to time and they are already written in a topic and ready to be copied or printed out.

to keep things quick when I need quick,  I do things like I've been frying up a bunch of bacon and freezing it. It can be brought out and micro-zapped for the quick bacon-n-egg thing or sandwiches. Or just crumbled onto/into just about anything you want the flavor in. I also cook up other things when I have a little leisure time for freezing and creating a basis for a meal in mere minutes. I have also been making multiple meals at once to freeze and pull out later. Those I tend to use up within a month. My family is eating rather strangely lately with fewer family sit downs. I might start freezing individual dinners soon. My own tv dinners. I'll need to purchase some proper freezer/cooking/serving plastic for that though. And plan what times are needed for reheating it right.
