Look for your window

As you know from my first post my sister is a psychic, one of the first things she told Georgie and I about when she visited was the "window" . Now, I do not mean the one made of glass that looks straight out to your front garden. I mean the Psychic window , and there is one in every home (apparently) it is usually in your living room and will be in a position that the occupants of that room can be viewed from, Spirits are not interested in television and are hidden by bright light so look in a shaded corner overlooking the seating area of the room.
To find your window choose a quiet time of the evening with your lighs low and your mind free, relax in your usual chair and use peripheral vision. you may see shadows that are not shadows of anything in the room. they may resemble faces or even places from your past. Sprits do not always talk or show themselves as you remember them but rather give you clues of things they know you will recognise, so be patient and most important.... talk softly back to them.

Georgie and I have seen various things in our window .. Georgie more than I , and whilst the images have faded somewhat since Jean has gone home to England we still look to the window and talk when we have a time of stress and take comfort from the knowledge that we are being watched over by loved ones.

Would you share some of the things/people you have seen while looking out of your window?

thats just the thing you do not look out of your window. you can only look at the window. I have seen various shapes that appeared as men wearing a hat, ( my father wore a trilby type whilst Georgies father wore a flat cap) then again i was a soldier and lost a few friends here in the troubles and of course soldiers wear hats (berets and glengarry's) there have also been shadowy scenes of buildings. do not expect to see a perfect picture , though Jean is able to describe clearly what she sees, it is just like training a muscle, the more you exercise it the stronger it will become.

Georgie and I both acknowledge any presence we see there whether it is clear or not and will often glance in the direction of the window just to check.

There are no hard and fast rules for this but you may be surprised at what you see if you are in the correct frame of mind.. relaxed and calm, willing to accept not just willing to happen.

We have never had any messages passed to us through this , merely observed a presence when we most needed support and comfort.

Yes this is quite interesting Tam.  We have another member that is quite sensitive to these kinds of things and she posted some similar advice in this topic.

This is fascinating and seems so simple.  I am looking forward to trying this out. 

I do have a question though, since we have many kids, are the chances high that a window would more likely be in one of their rooms?  Or that we gather as a family each night in the kitchen?  Do homes have multiple windows and do they move around?

Ok so that was a lot of questions.  I have a bunch more going through my head as well but will wait for the answers.

In my first house life seemed to revolve around the kitchen.After my cat died she came to me while I was at the sink, I saw her peripherally, and knew it was her spirit visiting me.
From the spot on the counter where she was sitting you could see the whole room, where we sat to eat and watch tv.
Was that a window?

That certainly is the location a window would be Wrennie. My window is on the upper part of the wall beside the fire breast, it's not the kind of place either Georgie or I would find ourselves looking at specifically (perhaps only if there are cobwebs), but since Jean pointed the window out to us we check it out now and again. Your window can be anywhere in the house, even the kids room and I suppose it depends a lot on just how sensitive you are to these things, Georgie is much more than me, and kids are sensitive anyway as according to my sister , we are all born able to see we just lose the ability for one reason or another as we grow older. So I suppose the best advice I can give is the same as was given to me and open your mind as a child . Whilst i started this thread and knew it would bring some questions I really thought someone else would have come along and talked of their window, I assumed everyone with an interest in spirits knew about it. Then again this has to be the deepest I have delved into the subject, my knowledge comes mostly from talking to my sister and an experience I had as a youth which I will save for another thread.

Actually, Tam, my window is in what used to be a back bedroom, but I have chairs in there now.     I use it for a sitting room, and it's a place where I can go to just relax, get some quiet time or read a book.

Then read aloud, and whilst doing so why not tape record it and pass that tape to someone you know who is visually impaired. I read short stories and write them to cd for the impared and it is something I enjoy doing. The gift of sight is one we take for granted and it would devistate me to lose it, so pass on what you have, you were reading the book anyways. AND who knows your Great Grand Children may just like to hear your voice as someday they may be as interested in the spirit world as you are. But I am interested as to what you see in your window? I would liken mine to a projected ( though fuzzy ) image on the wall, when I look at it , it seems clear enough to me what is there , though I would have to point it out to a visitor, Georgie sees it as clear as I do. The images I see are not moving images , however, if I look away for a moment the image may change to show another face or scene. I can best describe the images as if drawn lightly in charcoal and then smudged though not always smudged. I know this is all a bit basic as information goes , but , as I said I only know this because my sister Jean pointed it out and I assumed ALL spiritually inclined would know of it.

Have fun while you are out and about, but do it safely. You really don't need to know what the inside of the Tennerife's hoosegow looks like, do you now?

I think looking too hard is my problem also. Perhaps it is why Georgie see's better than I do.
My advice is the same as was given to me.
Relax and just let it happen.

I have another sister who is interested in the Spirit world. Mary. She would love to be able to do what Jean does and for some reason seems to think she can, However, she is a waffler and Havers a lot Talks too long about Rubbish  Just a little Scottishism I thought I would throw in there She also tries too hard and comes up empty handed (I think she just wants it too much) . So the answer is without someone there to guide you, you may have difficulty in finding your window. Relax in the room you are most comfortable in and look (not a Hard look) but look , expect without anticipating ,  don't TRY to see things that are NOT there. Your real window will come to you.

Geesh, I think you described it quite well, Tam!     But, for me, I would probably have to add that there's usually (but not always) a familar, recognizable quality to it, if that makes any sense.

Thanks, Tam!     You know, it's really kinda hard to explain what you experience to people who don't understand or have never experienced anythingl ike this, they always look at you with these questionable looks as if to imply that you're  !!!  Eventually, you just learn it's better to keep your mouth shut!!!
