Just posting that I had issues getting on (I couldn't) from about 11:30-midnight CST ummm on ... the saturday before father's day.  Of course this is time stamped, but it would have the wrong date on it, right?  'Cause today is now tomorrow and today isn't the same day that I had the issue on...

 laughmao @ Sarah
also has issues getting on at about 9:30 PST. I had no error pages of any kind. I had SSH up in a window and it was just frozen. Would not refresh or anything. I navigated away and then could not get back in in that window or any others. No error messages still.
I got into gmail chat with Dianna and she was able to post but I could not get in to read it.

Next time that happens try this and then take a screen shot and post it here.

In Windows, select Start > Run > cmd

This will open what looks like a DOS screen.  It's got a black background.  At the command line type:

tracert southernspirithunters.com

This traces the route from you to the server that the forum resides on.  This is kind of interesting as it list all the hops made to get from you to the forum.  If one of the servers is down on the route, you can't get to the forum but others can.  It's likely that both you and Tina go through the same hops to get to the datacenter in Dallas where the server is located.

What time were you getting the site unavailable Penny?  Some of the slowdowns that you will see from time-to-time are caused by the fact that we are on a shared server.  If it continues, I will put in a trouble ticket though as someone else on our server may be sucking up all the resources.

Dianna broke the spirit lounge. it won't load her post or anything past it, including the quick reply or the reply buttons at the bottom. Here's what it says at the top of the forum/page.

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/ghostjim/public_html/smf/Sources/Subs.php on line 2531

I locked the current one and opened a new one.  See if that happens in that one.  I'll try to work on it when I get home today.

Dianna's post was the culprit.  I removed the entire text from the database and we don't get the error anymore.  After looking at the times, Penny did post after Dianna so I'm not really sure what caused the problem but it's fixed now.

Hmm, have slow motion smileys when replying to topics.

They work in topic view. Using Firefox 5.0.1, would try in IE 8 if I didn't hate it so much.

I use Firefox as well and don't have that issue.  Using XP Pro here at work and Windows 7 at home.  What virus program are you using?

Sorry, should have started a new topic. Was watching a movie and replied to this.

Having problems when replying to topics in general, scrolling is choppy and smileys aren't loading fast, they evetually load, but very slow. Didn't do this previous version of Firefox I had. May be newer versions will resolve this issue, don't think its SMF.
