Those are beautiful, Jimmy! I can almost smell them....

I'm jealous! We "normally" would have roses by now (in fact, I usually have roses all winter, although they're a little slower than the rest of the year), but winter took its toll on them this time around.

This is about all mine are doing right now...

I sure love the color of those spring leaves, though!

Thanks everyone. I still have a yellow one that has had a bud for over a week still has not tried to open. Patty one of the ones the tree butchers stomped in to the ground is coming back I saw some new leaves at ground level Saturday so hope it comes back with a vengeance.

You know, that's something I really like about roses, Jimmy... they are truly die-hards, & you have to be trying awfully hard to be successful in discouraging them!

While weeding at the corner of 1 of my garden beds last week, I discovered two little rose bushes emerging from a spot where I'd dug a rose bush out & transplanted it in a friends yard, 2 years ago! I had moved about 9 of them to other people's yards at that time, cuz the people we bought this house from had twenty one rose bushes here, & 15 of them were the same... In order to have beds for annuals & other flowers that I wanted to try growing, those duplicates had to GO !

I can't, for the life of me, understand why they did that! If they were looking to make their yard low maintenance, they sure had it wrong (just like the Hydrangea they had growing in full, all-day sun), cuz roses are by no means "low maintenance"!

I hope your survivor blooms for you this year!  (What color are they?)
