Topic: Yay LEAVES!! and WOOD!!

The guys next door at the restaurant were filling BIG bags with the leaves that came from the maple tree. I asked them if they were headed for the trash. One guy asked if I wanted them. So now my pickup is FULL and I mean FULL of Big Bags of leaves. There are 6 of those large contractor sized bags. When I look in my rear view mirror all I see is bag! Marton was just saying last night we have to fill some leaf bags to insulate the water lines this winter. Seems to me that my share is done! And I'll have 6 bags of compost come spring! Did I mention Yay!!?
And
Yesterday I hear a couple of town trucks pull over and stop across from my house. There is a stand of 3 ash trees that has been dead for a couple of years. They cut them down, chipped the tops and left the wood. Guess who got some free firewood?

Way To Go.  That's the way to do it.  I'm thinking about a hydraulic spliter.  Dad said that was the way to go.  I'm just not sure I even want to think about another expense right now.  There is enough on my plate as is.
