Something went bump in the night
« on: Oct 31, 2008, 08:25:55 PM »
On my way to work really really early this morning  I was listening to the radio station / 99.5 The wolf..... and they reported there was a 2.7 to 3.0 earth quake that happened in Irving Texas... being half a wake, I went into  the breakroom and sure enough it was on the morning news.... They said Fort Worth felt it... but, living in Dallas, Texas area I slept right through it...As the wife says I could sleep through a tornado ripping the house.

That's pretty unusual for Texas isn't it?  Do you guys normally get quakes?

Looks like there was no major damage from it.  I imagine a lot of people slept through it since it was just after midnight.

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.

We had a 6.something many moons ago in Oregon... I slept right through it.

I found a link that puts Fault lines on google earth.  Looks to be pretty cool, if only I could figure out how to load files into google earth!!  Anyway, it should show the Texas faults, there is a big one called Balcones that runs through TX though.
