A simple one this time, using up those apples I bought a bunch of.

Perfect with coffee, and went so fast here I didn't get a picture. I'll try harder next time.

Now that looks really good and easy to make. I'm trying to get off sweets right now, but I gotta try this one.

I don't have a tart pan.  Can you suggest an alternative?  I have a glass pie pan would that work?

And the reason the link wouldn't work was the virus on the new computer.  It works fine now that I'm back on the old one.

A pie pan should work just fine for you.  ThumbUp

You could also do it in a square pan, something like an 8" x 8".

These recipes look really good, unfortunately my newer puter needs work and won't start so I am on the oooooold one and the slowwwwww one which gives me trouble all the time.  Half the time I give up and go cool down so I don't try to get on-line too often but I intend to try some of these real soon.
Also we just bought a house as some (maybe all of you) know from Phorum postings and are finally getting settled in so maybe I'll get back to being a regular soon if I get the other puter fixed.
Nevertheless I want to thank you again bc for your dedication to the bread project to the benefit of all of us.  I know everyone here appreciates your efforts and who doesn't love homemade bread?  Now I've really made myself hungry for good bread.  Have a good night all.

I have one small problem.  I don't know why but the line with the quantity of apples is over printed so I can't tell how many.  Can someone help me please?

The recipe says "5 granny smith apples".  Hope that helps.

Thank you it does.  I'd have done to many.  I had guessed that it said six.

I've got the sour dough proofing for tomorrow.  But I want to do this one and if it turns out I'll take some of it to my neighbors across the street.  They are nice people.

Well the apple tart bread is in the oven so now all I have to do is wait.  Getting the dry ingredients incorporated took some real elbow grease I'll tell you lol.

I've got the peelings and cores on the stove with some water adding to the wonderful smell of the baking bread.

Dianna this one is a quick bread so no yeast.  You could probably pull it off pretty easy.

Next time though I think I'll put out the apple peeler and give it a shot.  It's still in its box and I think 5 apples are enough to make it worth while to open.

Thanks for the recipe Barleychown.

It's out of the oven so in about an hour I'll be having apple tart bread.  I'm looking forward to it.  Now it's time to put away the dishes and make breakfast lol.  I've got everything turned around backwards today.

Well I've got to get better kitchen equipment I guess.  My pan was dark so I cut the temp by 25 degrees and left it in for 40 minutes.  It was really getting brown around the edges so I pulled it.  But the center was to moist I think.  Not doughy just really moist.

I'm assuming this was because of the dark pan.  Or maybe it was because the oven runs alittle hotter than it should.  Or maybe it was because I sliced the apples with a mandolin so they were really thin.  Or maybe it was just that the apples I got were really juicy.  There are so many possibilities.

I also didn't get any rise.  Should I have?

Thank you for doing these recipes.

I did eat every bite of it.  I didn't even share.
