Despite having plenty of "free time" tonight I am attempting, yet again, to make Chicken Helper.  For some reason I have not ever made a Helper correctly.  I was going to make Spicy Oven Fried Chicken with Garlic Smashed Tators n Gravy, and some lovely seasoned green beans but I felt too darn lazy.  naughty I know, I know.  I have a really bad cold.  Isn't that a good excuse?   yawn

I am doing a meatball stroganoff  over noodles. I don't know what to go with yet. Decision, decisions.

Any excuse is a good enough excuse to "easy" out a meal, Sarah Loo. giggle

Did you decide what to go with the stroganoff, Tina? grinnnn

We had chili tonight, over rice with cheese topping it... 542

Last night the kids & Dan had Ragu and I made my italian sausage dish that I love so much.  Unfortunately Patrick and I are the only ones who like it.  Leftovers for lunch this week for me.

Tonight Dan is doing something or another with some super thin sliced steak.  It will be good.

Tonight is seafood night. Breaded fried shrimp for John and Jonni. Sauteed scallops for me and Jonni. Basically, that is the plan at this time. I haven't decided on go withs yet. Maybe a savory noodle something with veggies in it.

Mmmm!! I want your dinner, Tina! I LOVE seafood!!!

I think it will be "fend for yourself" tonight here....I can't do dishes(finger is still wrapped) and Doug didn't get it done, so I can't cook. I could make Summer wash some, but just don't feel like the argument, so leftovers and hotdogs it is ThumbUp

I roasted root vegetables.  I ate until I'm miserable.  Why do I do that?

He diced them and sauteed them with the chicken and then added bread crumbs and baked for a bit. Just wasn't what I would've done so it didn't strike my fancy. It needed onion, garlic, maybe some broth or something....not enough flavor ThumbUp

We had burgers and broccoli last night. I think tonight is Blue Crab and baked potatoes with asparagus stir fry ThumbUp Sounds like a GOOD plan to me! ThumbUp

Last night we had tacos.  We love tacos.

I have a girl scout event from 1-5, so I will be gone Noon-6 and Adam ever so graciously offered to order pizza for dinner.  I think after 6 hours with the girls I won't really want to mess with dinner anyway...

Pizza is good.
I made a hot chicken salad to toss into the oven in a bit. Still looking for ways to plump up John. If he doesn't like it, I know I will and if I can't eat it all in a couple of days it will make a great dog food.

Good food will do that, and I must say that I have no idea what roasted root vegetables are.

I roasted turnips, carrots, butternut squash, sweet potatoes and a red onion with sea salt, pepper, and a little olive oil.  I suppose butternut squash isn't really a root vege though.  I don't see myself using it again.  It was hard to peel and hard to cut up. tasted good though.

I'm fixing "chicken in a pot" it is one of my favorite recipes.  Instead of using tomato paste like the recipe calls for, I used a big bag of frozen whole toms from last fall.  It is taking FOREVER to boil down.  I'm going to be old before it's ready.  I'll be serving it over fresh, hot rice.

Not too many A&W's left around here. I'm thinking some sticky wings with green beans and corn. Or more exotic veggies like broccoli if I am alone in voting for veggies. I have some rice to mess with too.

Are your sticky wings sweet or spicy Tina?

Tonight we are having pizza per Jonny's request.  Nothing fancy but it will be enjoyed by all.
