Aloe Vera and Frost

How can I tell if my aloe is actually dead? I may have left it out and let it enjoy multitudes of frosts for the past 3 weeks or so... It's probably dead, isn't it?

Oh boy, that sure does not sound good. I do not know that they can survive that much frost. But you could bring it in and hope.

I would try bringing it in too. No water for a while. The leaves will get mushy and probably die. But you might get new growth from the base. I have my aloes outdoors in the ground. But we only get pretty light frosts in comparison.

Ditto to what Tina said. My "Aloe-Zilla" was a frost victim before I got it and it bounced back. Now it has 18-24 inch leaves and has outgrown all the pots(up to a 20 incher
)

I know for sure that it has gotten down to 22 on several nights and the poor plant was in a pretty shady area.

It's still got a shot of making it, I'd give it a try!

I never give up until all I have is a nub and no roots.
