slave plantation in north carolina

There is a place in North Carolina i like to go and visit from time to time late at night. It is an old slave plantation. Fields and Fields of cotton everywhere with the old creepy slave houses standing all across the fields. Well this one night in particular that comes to mind when i think about this place. Me and a lady friend was just out joy riding around out in a small place called Pekin when i decided i would take her out there to get a little kick out of scaring her. Well we was on our way and i was exited, i was telling her about this place the whole way there and i could sense the fear in her voice when i would get a responce from her so my excitement grew even bigger.

 Ya see i have been out there a lot and i knew little about the place, just that people were saying that sometimes you could see the slaves that were hung on the farms lost souls walking around at night sometimes. So we finally made it down there and its foggy this night. Slowly driving down this narrow dirt road we go with the bright lights on and the radio turned off. Now we are right in the middle of this plantation with cotton fields on our right and left. The creepy old slave houses in our view. there are no windows on these slave houses and they look very weathered. I tell my lady friend a little more about this place as we go deeper in and i could tell she was quite terrified .

 It was pretty cold this night but you could see every star in the sky even though it was so foggy out. the moon was shining bright as the sun on a spring morning. we just kept moving on further in with every breath we took. well once we reached the end where the owners used to live that held the slaves captive it got very quiet and i decided it was time to turn around, but for some reason i just stopped the car and was talking to my lady friend.

 I was looking at her sitting in the passenger side of the vehicle talking when i heard a tapping on my window and my lady friend also heard it. I was looking at her and she was looking at me . I was scared and so was she. She was screaming at this point saying (please Justin lets get outta here please)  and i was like sure i am ready to leave too!!!. Well i put the car in reverse and get ready to burn it up outta there and i turn my head around to see where i could back up and Ahhhhhhh i thought i seen something but it was cold remember?

 The exhaust made a creepy looking cloud behind the car that nearly scared the woo hoo out of me. When i turned that car around and got out of there i haven't been back since  . My lady friend will not let me live it down either because when i seen that smoke from the car behind us she said the look on my face was priceless.  It is a really interesting place. I never did see what tapped on my window but i know it was real because me and her both heard the tapping. Is this place haunted, I am not sure but i would most definitely say something was there that night...........hope you fellow members enjoy my little experience at the slave plantation.

Where is that slave plantation? Is it accessible all the time? Have you ever really spotted anything there yourself? Maybe SSH needs to investigate...

To be honest with you mom. I am not so sure anyone is supposed to be out there lol. But a guy i used to work with family bought the place and he told me he would give me a thousand dollars if i stayed the night in one of the old slave houses.     I dont think i am that  curious of what goes on out there at night lol so i reffused his offer

Great story, tho! I agree it sounds like the spirits decided to  get 2 for 1 and your plan kinda came back to bite ya in the butt!

I can't believe you didn't jump on that offer.  We normally go to these type places without even thinking of compensation or reward.
