Going to have to come up with something green tonight...probably for dessert. Maybe mint shakes.

Tonight is girl scouts and as long as I don't have a parent who is an HOUR LATE again, I will be making up some taquitos for dinner.  I already have the meat cooked, I'll just need to fry them puppies up.  I will also be making a double batch of meatballs in my final freezer meals for a while.  I think I have 6 dinners lined up in there, hopefully that will do the trick!

Dan and Patrick had corned beef and cabbage last night.   My house still reeks of it.  ICK.  The other kids tried it but no takers and I made meatball subs for the rest of us.  I ate way too much.

Tonight is hamburgers.

I'm fixing taco in a bag tonight.  I really had no idea taco fixings were good on doritos, although I love them both so it just HAD to be a happy combination.

I'm trying out a new recipe for dinner.  It is buffalo wing wraps, we'll see how it goes.  Sure sounds good in theory though!

Fried pork chops with tomatoes and rice served as our supper tonight. :licklips: Sure was good...

I am having a time getting used to brown rice. It takes a lot longer to cook than the white rice I have found. Any tips for me out there? :grinnnn:

It does take 10-15 minutes longer to cook than white rice. My tip is to mix it up. Don't try switching to just brown. White rice still has a lot of value in it too. And you will be happier with it with some of your regular meals. Plan on the brown rice for different meals than your usual. And find what you really like to eat it with.

Dianna,  I use a rice cooker for mine and it turns out good each time.  The kids are getting used to it, we are still mixing it with white rice since we had some left.  Mikey keeps trying to pick out the "seeds".

Last night Dan made a pineapple chicken dish, it was good but a little sweet for me.  Tonight I am keeping it simple and making the kids either hamburgers or chicken pattie sandwiches.

Last night I tried some bourbon burgers. Not too bad but I will cut down on the sugar for the next batch.
Tonight, I just don't know yet.

Mmmmm pizza and pepsi.... mmmmm....  We're doing good on kicking our pepsi habit -- Adam can make it until the weekend and then he buys a 2 liter (he doesn't know I know but he drinks pop at work and can't take 2 days without).  I can deal with a 2 liter over the weekend -- especially since he probably drinks 2/3rds of it.

Sorry back on subject.  Food.  Dinner tonight is going to be teriyaki chicken with rice.  Provided I don't completely cave and buy pizza and pop.

This recipe is very easy. Go look for Tyson tequila lime wings in your freezer section. They are good as is. And pretty much the same as any recipe I could post.

hee hee Tina.    That is the way to cook!

I found a new chicken I like but cannot for the life of me remember it now.  They are better than chicken nuggets and have a just barely sweet coating.

OK I found them... they are Tyson's honey battered brest tenders.  Good stuff!

Tonight is girl scouts so I'm pre-making Cube Steak Parmesan (a new recipe) and will serve over spaghetti.  If I have time this afternoon, I may fix up some garlic bread also.
