Mineral Deposits on glass

(1/2) > >>

duh:
I have some cheap saucers from walmart that are covered in mineral deposits from using them under pots.  I recently tried using steelwool to clean them up and surprise surprise it's working.

Tina:
Vinegar works well to get rid of mineral deposits. It is recommended to run through your coffeemakers and things to keep the deposits from clogging the works up. I also use it in my swamp coolers and teapots. It dissolves deposits very well with no scrubbing.

Triss:
I use vinegar as well and if it is a container that I cannot get my hand into, I will use vinegar and salt so I can swish around the combination and the salt will help to scrub off the deposits.

Jim:
Outstanding tip here too.  I would have never thought of the salt.

This board is going to be quite useful.  Now we need to find a DIY smiley to match our other board graphics.

Triss:
Yes, a tool belt wearing, hammer holding smiley.
