Plants the local Rodents don't like
« on: Jul 18, 2009, 12:46:12 PM »
So far all the local critters have left the following plants alone:

Mums
Irises
Peruvian Daffodils
Ditch Lilies
Blackberry Lilies
Bleeding Heart
Verbana
Pinks
Dianthus
Peonies
Chocolate Mint
Tarragon Mexican and French
Hostas
Snapdragons
Petunias
Hollyhocks
Columbine
Peacock Orchids
Tomatoes
Banana Peppers
Mediteranian Bells

Everything else they have feasted on.  Grrrrrh.  What are you having luck with?

I've never had trouble with dianthus either come to think of it but I do have a few bites out of some of my hostas this year.  I think it was slugs.

Year before last thrips got to some of my peony buds before I got them under control.

Snapdragons are pretty much bug free.

Tomatoes are doing well so far.

Had to dust the squash plants with Sevin to kill off the squash bugs.  Nothing else was working.

The slugs got my tulips but everything else is doing good out there.  Of course everything came up from seed dropped from last year so I did not have much to do with it.

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.

I think everywhere had a terrible slug problem this year.  I'm sure the ones here have died in the dry heat.
