Pretty angel, Jennifer. I have a couple that I hang on the tree every year. They were my mother's... :grinnnn:

I really like those new afghans Jenn.  The angel is adorable as well.  I have several Christmas projects going as well as scarves and hats for the school Spirit Store.

That turned out very nice, Jiffy. Have you picked out a frame for it?

thank you all.  i have not gotten a frame yet.  nor has it been blocked or starched.  and, the backing you see is just one of my sweaters.  but that is the color that i am going to put behind it.  it is about 8 1/2 x 12.  so i'm going to have a hard time finding a frame.

Beautiful!  The color behind is a good one as well.

Very nice.  About how many chain stitches do you use between the rounds to give it the lacy effect?

Sure I would love the pattern.   I happen to have to white yarn hanging around though I dunno if I will get around to them this year cuz I have quite a bit that needs to be done in the next 2 weeks.

http://susaninstitches.blogspot.com/2007/11/free-crochet-pattern-southern-snowfake.html here you go triss.  i just realized that i did not do the last round.  i didn't like how it looked as i was doing it.  and i like them to be attractive whether i stretch them or not.  and, i realized i photographed mine on the wood block, just like she did!

i did not find any errors in the pattern, which was very helpful.

triss, it is.  and works up quick.  here is a modification i made.

by the way, this isn't much bigger than a 50 cent piece.

and i'm working on another one, i'll show you when i'm done.  if you want the pattern to either, let me know, i can email them to you.  but you have to resend me your email address.

I really need to check my yarn stash and see if I have a good yarn for that clown.  It would be a great gift for my niece.

triss, anything but chunky will work.  the one i made is worsted weight, standard red heart super saver.  the darker one that is in progress (one of my students from the class today) is also red heart worsted weight.  the purply-blue one is baby weight (the other student from today). and, not all the yoyos have to match.  gramma's were all scrappy clowns.  well, sort of, she had way lots of yarn.

i did find a couple of errors in the pattern today, have to fix it.  if you want me to email it to you, the corrected version, i'd be happy to.  it's a nice little handout.  just let me know.
