Strange Happening over a year to realize
« on: Nov 19, 2009, 01:46:38 PM »
About this time last year I was already for Christmas, tree was up and decorations in place.  I come home from work to discover clear broken glass on the floor in the dining room floor and rug, reminded me of lighbulb glass.  I checked my lightfixtures and everything was working well.  I thought maybe an ornament had broken but I had no glass ornaments on the tree and no lights.  Never did figure out were it came from?!  Fast forward to last week, I'm giving house good cleaning for the holidays, I have taken all the lightbulbs and shades off of my ceiling fans to wash in dishwasher, shades, not the lightbulbs :).  Anyway I have reattached the globes on the ceiling fan nearest the dining room and start screwing in the lighbulbs when I notice one will not go in. Apun closer inspection there is a base from another lightbulb in the socket.  I remove and install the bulb.  Now here is the kicker, I know that light was working and I know i took a working bulb out of it, I also did not run short a bulb when reinstalling the the lights.  I also Know I did not stick a bulb into the base of another bulb.   This is one I just can't figure out.

That is strange, Legree. :ScratchHead: Could a houseguest have broken a bulb and replaced it without mentioning it to you?

No house is 7 years old this February, new construction, I built it.

Dianne, I don't think so, I live alone, and I doubt anyone would have replaced bulb without my knowledge , ceilings are 12ft high so its not easy to change any of the lights.  Also I live somewhat remote
so not a lot of guest.

Still puzzeled by it,  I doubt it is ghost related, but I thought I would share it anyway.

Well, if it is ghost related, your ghost has a sense of humor!

It's not likely that the bulb could have been broken and the light still work, naturally as the filament wouldn't last long in the atmosphere.  That is if the bulb had a filament.

And it would seem that you would have noticed it when you removed the globes to wash them because there would be no bulb in that one.

You got some tricky ghost!
