Those are beautiful, Charlotte... :)

What kind of camera do you use?

Great photos.  I really like the size and the way you put them side by side.  That's a perfect way to display photos on a forum.  Great job.

I love to take photos also.  When I was stationed in Guam, I had to have a SLR with all the lenses and the filters.  Of course it wasn't long till the digital camera came on the market and a bit longer before it became affordable, and the SLR was on the yard sale table.  Wish I had it back...anyway before I get offtopic here, tell us what kind of butterfly it is too.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for checking out the photos, I have a Leica 4.4 mega pix digital camera with macro ability. I love this camera for alot of reasons. The crispness of the photos and the ability it has is awesom. This camera can do 80 seconds of video with sound and alot more.

Here are some more photos.....

believe the butterfly is a monarch, but I'm not exactly sure which species.

This butterfly seemed to like to have his picture taken and would flutter back and forth around me...
I was just fascinated by this guy down by the pond behind our house.
I just love being innature and I appreciate when nature stand still for a few seconds.

Has anyone taken photos lately? I would love to see some......

One of my betterfly photos was used with an article written by someone else on the website Gardening123 here's the link http://www.gardening123.com/articles/display_article.asp?ID=103074&MS=6&SS=60  I was quite impressed when they asked to use my photo.....lol

Enjoy,
Charlotte

All I asked was for my name to be added to the photo.....

I have tons more photos to share......

I shot this photo last Summer, and I'm hoping to take some great photos this Summer.

Fantastic pics, Charlotte.

Boy, it is hard to see the difference between the humming bird and the moth in those poses...

Thanks.... Dianna

I first thought the hummingbird moth was a hummingbird, but my sister-in-law set me straight...lol

Here's a few more photos......

I shot this photo about 15 ft. away....It was @ Valley Forge Park, here in PA.  The deer are not afraid of humans.....

This was at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore MD.

Kratz, your pictures are awesome! That camera sure does give terrific clarity!

We have Hummingbird Moths here on the West coast too, & they have to be the weirdest insects, EVER!   (BTW, your butterfly is a Tiger Swallowtail... Monarchs have lots of orange on them.)  We don't have Monarchs here, but they're nowhere near as showy as Swallowtails anyway, in my opinion.

Keep em coming!

They're gorgeous ...still!

The second pic in your last post is definitely a Monarch.

How amazing, in the third one, that you caught the Swallowtail with his little nose right inside that flower!

I can't quite make out what the last one is... a Walking Stick, maybe?

Pretty things in your garden, too!

I see a butterfly in the last pic, and I think I see TWO butterflies in the 2nd pic of the last post.

These are beautifull photos. You are very talented with photography. I can't believe how sharp and clear all the photos are!!! Mine never even come close to that!
Dear Lord, On this day, please wrap your arm around my shoulder and keep your hand over my mouth.  Amen

OK, I see the butterfly in the 4th pic now!

My monitor is outta whack, so I had to bring it up on my other computer. All I was seeing before was the wing on the right (across the leaf), & the brown tones made it look like a stick bug!

I can also see the Swallowtail & the bee in the 2nd pic with the Monarch now, too.

Geesh, I need a camera like you have because I had two butterflies on one of my flowers this morning.  :) I tried to take a picture, but I was too far away.   :(  When I got closer to get a better shot they flew away so I missed them.  >:(  My camera takes nice pictures of my flowers, but I really need one with a good zoom lens so I can take some pictures of my birds and butterflies.  Your pictures are beautiful and I enjoy seeing them. Thanks so much for sharing them.   ;)

My favorite so far is the deer. That is such a peaceful scene...

The praying mantis is definitely freaky. We had one on the deck last year and Angel tried to play with it.... :D

Yes indeed, the praying mantis is definitely unique.  Love the close-up where it appears that he is posing for the shot.  You can almost see him grinning!  :D

Yep, I do believe you have a knack for photography.  I enjoy the butterfly photos the most.

I agree with Patty!
