Not sure what to have tonight.  There is a mess of ground turkey in the fridge that Lori has not used for her diet and wants used up but I have never really worked with ground turkey before... any ideas?

I havent tried it myself as a meatloaf, but i know others who have and they said it was really good.

Meatballs...then use them in meatball subs, spagetti, soup, or just heat and eat snacks for the munchkins.  good2

I haven't tried it either, Triss, but you can definitely make meatloaf with it.  I am not a big fan of ground turkey unless I cook it something that makes it not so noticeable.

I used to use ground turkey all the time.  I'd used it for ground beef.  None of my family ever mentioned anything was different even though it looks different.

It looks different and the texture is finer than ground beef. I used to 'bulk' it up with some cooked lentils or something that improved the texture. Then it was good (and gooder for you) and 'felt' more like ground beef in the mouth.

I have a cool very, rainy day. I have bread dough rising and I cut up 3 pounds of bacon into small bits and have those cooking. But I haven't a clue as to what I will actually be cooking for dinner.

Everybody likes bacon.

Jessica, it's spaghetti without meat sauce.  Instead there is onion, grape tomatoes parsley, oregano sauteed in olive oil then add feta cheese and a little lemon juice.

I ended up making turkey meatballs tonight.  I used a bunch of breadcrumbs, a couple of eggs, and Parmesan cheese along with spices.  I ended up baking a little more than 2 dozen large ones and the kids loved them.  They each ate two and I will be freezing the rest for a meal later.  They were really good.  Had them with some pasta and ragu.  I also made a peach dump cake that looks so good but we have not had dessert yet.

Since nobody but me wanted dinner, I let Stouffers cook for me.  It was a pepperoni and provolone stromboli.  It was alright.
