I think everyone may have crossover names. I have done that before when I have run exchanges. That is fun too.
Yes, I saw the glow in the dark feature on that pick. I have it out absorbing some 'glow' right now. I have to decide where I want my solar lights. I need to find maximum sunlight for the collector part.

Oh I didn't realize we would have crossover names.  That is okay too.

I can't wait to do another one too.  They are fun.  I like the birthday idea too.

my box went out today, big brown (UPS) so should get there in a couple of days (or 3 or 4 or...) giggle  i even remembered to tuck in a few "extras" so the person should have quite a nice little surprise.  i will say, there are 2 notes on top of the packing.  both are important because one thing isn't what it looks like, and the other is to let you know to make sure you open all the newspaper, there are things wrapped in them.

That someone is me yay_jump  It's a big box full of all sorts of goodies just for me. Wow

the last picture is blurry.  I hope you can tell I received patriotic salt and pepper shaker set.  Way cool.

I'm not sure what hurricane lillies are but I'm excited that they bloom in September.

Thanks bayou girl.

sheri, they are the surprise lilies you asked me for way back when.  i'll post a picture of them when i find where i put it..

they survived our snow just fine, and they weren't even in the ground, they were in a plastic pot on the porch.

did the angel and magnet make it?  i thought of to-de-ta when i saw it.  had to get it for you (and her).

Cool, I am glad everything got there safely. What fun stuff! I know Jenn was worried about using regular mails because someone had issues.

You all shop much better than I do.  I couldn't have found nearly that much nice stuff for less than 25.00.

Tammy I went a little over the $25 but not by much with coupons and things. And I had purchased quite a few of the items I sent a long time ago on sale and dollar stores and clearance racks. . The towel set I sent Sarah I had purchased (very cheap) for Sarah a few weeks before I drew her name in the swap. They were really cheap and don't say cotton on them anywhere and are made by a plastic corporation. So those are probably useless as towels but the monkey graphics were absolutely adorable. I see a craft project in there. I tucked that into her box because it was a box going in the right direction, not really part of the exchange.
A few years ago I got a package of a dozen inexpensive but pretty printed garden gloves for $2 at Harbor Freight. I opened that package and have sent those cheapos in different boxes to fill in corners. They actually cost me about 18 cents each including tax. But they are fun to get on the other end. I kind of don't count those as part of the cost.
I have plenty of spare minutes to stop and cruise those clearance shelves and dollar stores as I drive miles to and from Ted's school. I don't want to be too late or too early. I find the most wonderful items all year long and store them away in bins marked outgoing gifts. Some of my items are waiting for the right time and the right people and are sitting there about 5 years. End of season at Walgreen's, CVS or Big Lots and you can really clean up. Most of it bought from spare change from a tight budget. I sometimes have people in mind when I buy items and then stockpile until I feel like sending a package and can afford it. Knowing what people like and collect and things is a bonus.

I do that too Tina, if i see somthing on sale, and while i dont need it or want it, i still get it knowing that somewhere along the line, i can use it as a gift/present.

bayou girl, I had already put the magnet on the frig when I took the picture and forgot to get a shot of it.  The guardian angel is in the blurry picture. I would take another picture but I've got everything in it's place.  Sorry.  I don't remember asking for the lillies but I looked up a picture and actually had one volunteer in my yard a while back so I know the exact spot to plant them.  Thanks.

Maybe that's why 1 "volunteered" in my yard.
