That is very pretty, Jennifer... :good2:

That is a very "deep" thought for your son-in-law to have about the child's gender... :ScratchHead:

Remember the days when the sex was known when the baby decided on it's own, mind you, to be delivered.

Look at the grand parents for size.  It's not perfect but it's a good indicator.

mini-family.
But he is correct. Small boys do have to scrap their way to maturity. The bravado hangs on into adulthood and colors their personalities often.

they do, and of all my family, he has the most bravado intensive job, more than  my brother in the army even.  my son in law is a small explosives/fire arms expert/inspector with the atf.

for triss, tina, and anyone else interested.

this is the shadowbox pattern i was talking about.  first picture is with the flash so you can see the colors.  but the detail doesn't show well with the flash, so next two pictures show the front and back.  not sure which is which but you get the idea of why it is called shadow box, and what i mean by ribbed stockinette on the other side.

color

shadowbox

the shadowbox is actually recessed.

Not too different from the basket weave pattern. The pattern will show up better in a larger swatch. (So get to hookin' girl!) It is looking good and I'm happy to see that yarn being used. I bought it to make a sweater for myself with and it wasn't going to happen. I liked it that much.

I just don't know about looking at family members.  Shelley is 5'8" and Tracy is 6'2".  Darbi and Colby are both tiny even though they weren't so tiny at birth.

well, with this child, if it is a big kid/adult, it will be a direct throwback to my family.  because there is no one over 5'5" among the rest of it's relatives :giggle:  i'm the giant.

i finished another clown.  this one will go to the shop where i teach the class, so i can get mine back.  this one is made from thread they sell.  i figured i should use their material if they are going to offer the class.

meet mr. clown, jr.  he is smaller than the original.

i think he may be 8" tall?
