Banana Torte

2 cups flour
1 cup chopped nuts (I used pecans)
2 sticks butter - softened

8 oz. cream cheese - softened
2 cups powdered sugar
8 oz. cool whip
2 small packages banana instant pudding (or use chocolate if you want chocolate torte)
3 cups milk

Mix flour and nuts.  Cut in butter.  Press into 9 x 13 pan and bake at 375° for 15 minutes.  Let cool completely.

Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar.  Blend into cool whip.  Spread over cooled crust.

Whisk pudding and milk for 2 minutes until thickened and pour over top of cream cheese mixture.

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

It is simple and good.  My kind of dessert.  I was thinking that a layer of sliced bananas might be good in there too.

This has been a family favorite (made with chocolate) for as long as I can remember.  It's even better the next day...if there is any left.  Whis

I'm going to make it for my mother's birthday party using chocolate and putting strawberries on the top.  Yum!!!  Thanks.
