Blackberry Lily Small Blooms

Does anyone know why the blooms on the blackberry lily are so small?  I believe they are usually larger than the ones I have.  Does the clump need dividing.  Is it short a certain nutrient?  Or is it just getting old?

I got a surprise.  Since I cut off the seed pods from the blackberry lily it has decided to make more blooms.  Who knew?
