Ok good... now I need something new to read.  I think the next in my quilting series is in at the library.

I haven't yet found where she said she would not continue with the series though.  Am I missing it??  Are you at Traci DePree--Novelist?

Oh I missed that. Bummer!  I didn't realize they had been out so long.  I would if the series didn't sell that well or if they just think too much time has passed?!?  They really are great books.

I just finished The complete Guide to Kitchen Design with Cooking in Mind by Donald Silvers.  It had a lot of helpful information in it instead of the usual "like, totally, I like the farmhouse sink with, like, I dunno, maybe yellow paint.  This is so, totally, hard." that is in a lot of design books.  This one had awesome info on cabinets, like height, width, differences between modular, custom modular, custom, and custom millwork, etc.  It was pretty sweet.  And the guy is a cook, so it had a lot of recommendations for where to put stuff if you actually plan on cooking in your kitchen.

Now that sounds like the kind of remodeling book I'd like to get my hands on.  I'll have to see if it is in our local library system.  I'm headed there today so I'm in great shape to check.  I'm in the mood to check out the entire library lol.  So times I come home with so many books I feel like I've been greedy.

While I was at the library I put in a request for the kitchen remodel book.  it will cost me a dollar if its in the library system we are a part of but I figured it was worth it.

It's a good book, Tammy.  It didn't yack about the fluff - like colors, etc.  Just the good stuff!

Thanks for recommending it.  The librarian said it will be between 3 and 8 weeks for it to arrive if they have it.  But I'll definitely enjoy reading it.  I'm always looking for ideas to make my galley kitchen into a dream kitchen.

Been re-reading the Dragonriders of Pern series by the McCaffrey's... quick reads and an enjoyable series.

have you read Todd McCaffrey's books in the Pern Series?  I've read about half of them.  They aren't his mothers but they aren't bad.

Yes, I have as I am reading them in chronological order as they happened on Pern rather than chronological order as they were written.

I am reading Nora Roberts this week.  I just finished reading Homeport this morning and started on Sweet revenge today.  Easy reads waiting until my series books come in.

The library book sale had two books from her mystic irish series on sale so I got both of them.  I've read it sometime in the past but I don't remember the details so I can read it again and enjoy it.  After I finish off the "ptb" Anne McCaffrey series that I'm currently reading and the book on the Amish that I picked up when I didn't have the PTB book with me.

"Powers That Be"  It's the title of the first book in the series.  The first book is good.  After than not so much although she never does anything bad.  It's just that I got spoiled with Pern.

I believe there are about 3 books in it so far, "Powers That Be", "Power Lines", and I forget the name of the third one.
