Is anyone seriously into cross stitch?  It was something I used to do a lot of but I just cannot seem to get into anymore.  I have a lot... I mean a whole lot... of supplies that I would love to pass on to someone who needs it and will use it.

I wish Lys would like it but alas she does not.  I did get it all organized though so that is a start.  I can fit it all into a much smaller container and have a lot still but a bit less than I thought.  I also found several finished projects that just need to be framed up.  Will make nice hangings for the kids room.

Of course now that I see it all, I want to start up again.  I just know me and know I will not stick with it long.  Maybe I will try and complete one of the half dozen unfinished projects I found.

triss, i would like to pay you for the supplies.  i was just lamenting that walmart does not carry the supplies anymore.  but, tradition has that each baby gets a couple of different cross stitched and/or embroidered items (a pillow, a wall hanging or two, etc) and i don't have much left.  let's plan a phone call soon to discuss it!

I will take pictures of what I have and you can decide what you want from it.  I am really not looking for money for them though as they would just continue to sit in my closet... I would much rather them get used.

Here are the completed projects I found... it is funny that I cannot remember even doing some of these.

A bag of patterns and cross stitch magazines.

A bunch of material in all sizes and colors.

A couple of bags of thread.

Great job. I used to cross stitch and I know how tedious it can be.

The one for Patrick is in there but I did not see as I breezed through the one with the rocking horse though it could be in one of the books.  The one for Patrick does not have the color guide though but it does have the pattern and the color picture for the finished piece.

Most of the patterns are baby, bunny, and Christmas though there are a bunch of others.  Yes the cloth is Aida, no regular material in that stack at all.

I made almost everything fit into a box... but be careful when it does get there and you open it... things may pop out all over.  I was unable to fit in the hand towels but those I can do something with here with what I have left.  I sure hope you enjoy everything and make better use out of it all that I have.  And thank you for helping me clean out and clear out another whole box.

I used to cross stitch and when my niece was born I did her name and weight, sort of like Patricks, and made it into a little pillow.  She's 31 and still has it on her bed.

That is so cool.  Patrick's will get stored as I am sure he will not use it.  I found Zack's as well though it is not finished and to show just how overdue he was... the month that I stitched in for him was November and he showed up December 5th.

That is a little funny, Triss. And no wonder you didn't finish it. But a keeper still.

I will finish it, just to have it on hand but I will have to take out a few stitches and add in the date and details.  I might just work on it tonight.

You are welcome.  I cleaned out another box today and found 3 more projects...UGH... fortunately they all have the thread with them.  That brings me up to a grand total of 10 WIP's in the cross stitch category.   One of these days I will learn.

You can sew those finished ones to regular fabric and make pillows too.

Oh that is a good idea.  As I was looking at my projects last night, I was amazed at how close so many of these are to done.  What was I thinking to walk away from them?!?

Last night I finished up this cute little guy.  All I had left to do was the border on the quilt and the sleepy smile.
