Thanks... I think I am going to turn it into a quilted wall hanging for one of my nieces... if either of them is expecting a boy.

I have a friend who has teenage children.  She knits and has made a bunch of baby blankets.  None of her kids have had kids yet but she wants to make sure they all get one of hers and does not want there to come a time when her hands do not work and she cannot do them.  I think that is a great idea.

triss, that is actually my plan.  after going 2 years with hands that only worked minimally, i can relate.  so i will be doing lots of extras for that very reason.  but for some reason, i just never thought about doing cross stitch that way!

Me too.  I just love marking things off of my list.  I am determined to finish all of my WIP's this year with the exception of the ongoing Ugly Blankets.

Sorry Tina... hard habit to break as I have been calling them that for ages.

You can call them anything you like. I was just offering an alternative. Ugly is a good word. And I don't think it is offensive at all.

Only because they were all already darn near done.  Still amazes me I left so many so close to finished.

No, I know me, I just got caught up in something more exciting and thought I would get right back to them, put them somewhere and promptly forgot about them.  There has to be a word for it, but I dunno what it is.

The last two I have are a little more involved though not much.  One is a Christmas scene with the bottom corner undone and the other a clown who is missing its face.  They are both now my "evening while watching TV" projects until they are done.  Then the framing of them all and turning them into wall hangings is my "once I am done with the project for the day" projects.  Today's project was Lys' quilt and since I got that done, I started framing the bear on the rocking horse.  Tomorrow's project is the rows for the jean square quilt.

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.
