triss's blueberry struesel reminded me of this, then i got an email with a very similar one tht jogged my memory.  so i made it tonight and it turned out well.  i wanted to make triss's blueberry streusel but i didn't have the recipe with me.  this worked instead (still going to try hers).

1's and 2's cobbler.

1 stick butter
1 c sugar
1 c flour
1 spoon (tsp) baking powder
1 c milk

2 c fresh or frozen fruit of your choice

1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar

1 8x8 pan

melt the butter in the 8x8 pan.

mix the cups of sugar, flour, milk and the tsp of baking powder together with a fork.  might be a little lumpy, that's ok.

pour the batter into the butter, but don't stir.

pour/sprinkle the fruit on top of the batter.  the butter with rise to the top and cover the batter and half the fruit.

mix the cinnamon and sugars together and sprinkle over the top.  bake at 350 for about 45 minutes or until brown.

tonight i used a bag of mixed frozen berries - strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries.  i detest raspberries, but i couldn't even taste them.  it was good stuff.

i would say put a cookie sheet under the pan to catch the drips, or use a larger pan.  i didn't have an 8x8 pan, so i used a 9" round.  wasn't quite big enough.  they fought over the leftovers.  also, i think i'm going to try it with half a stick of butter next time.  it was way buttery.  i used the real stuff.

Sounds good. The blueberry muffin I bought today did not ease my craving.

i liked it because i could remember it.  but everytime i made it, it didn't turn out.  my great aunt's directions were not as good as what i have here.  i think she thought i was a better cook giggle  but it was as good as hers, so i'm happy.
