Big problem.
Windows 7 .  Why has my Icons on the screen froze up?
When I first turn the computer on , alls fine.
If I shut my page off the icons quit?

Have to click on start to go to the programs like Internet Explorer?  Why

I don't have Windows 7 however try right clicking on the desktop, select View, then Show desktop Icons.  

If that don't help, can you remember when this started to occur?  If it was recently, you may be able to roll back to a system restore point which will help you identify what causes the issue.

Oh and I split your question out to a topic all it's own.  They are easier to keep track of that way.

Thanks alot Jim,

I finally sent an email to Yahoo my server an told them the icons an page were frozen .
It was at their end not mine.  I could not click on anything when it was froze.
