Are you using yahoo mail?  Or are you saying that Yahoo is your home page and is not working?

I have Mozilla Foxfire as a browser but have my homepage on Mozilla set up as AOL.  If Mozilla is down I can't get to my aol email stuff.  Who is your browser?  I can access my Yahoo mail, Gmail and AOL mail through Mozilla.

I pay to IntheStix Broadband, it uses 911 tower on my farm. Right above the house.

Yahoo. com is same as  aol.com
None of them get the $$ for the internet.....

I have Internet explorer as my browser.....All yahoo service an internet as browser. I tried fox one time, not a good thing to me. :stars: :stars:

Try setting something else as your home page.  But if you couldn't get onto the internet at all yesterday, then I am thinking that it is a problem with your internet service provider and not yahoo.

Could you get on Internet Explorer yesterday and then couldn't pull up your email?  If that's the case I would have called Internet Explorer.

What's happened to me before though is that I can get on the internet browser but just can't get to AOL so I have to call AOL.  My computer geek brother in law says AOL is terrible and that I should change to something else.  So if Yahoo is the same as AOL you may be in trouble along with me.

No no no

I could not get on internet explorer.
It is run on Yahoo.

What I mean is Yahoo is the same type of service as aol. They are to be the best in storage problems.
Send me Internet explorers phone number sheri.

You can't call internet explorer.. it is a program.  Your internet provider is IntheStix Broadband. If you couldn't get on any web page at all, then your internet provider is who you call. If yahoo is not working, you really just have to wait it out, same if you used gmail, or hotmail, etc.  Hope that made sense.

If you can't get to any of your forums, then its the stix gizmo. It might be running, but something is causing it to mess up. If it was only yahoo you couldn't get to, then its yahoo. If you could get here, then your internet was fine, it was a yahoo issue.

Looks like you have your question answered but here's a few more things for you to ponder.  As Sunsoaker said, Yahoo is a web based email provider and they do provide hosting service as well.  They bought out Geocities.  I don' think they provide any type of internet connection service though.

As far as email, you can have as many of those as you want.  Gmail is pretty good, Hotmail is not bad either even though it used to eat emails sent from forums.  They have since fixed that.  I have way too many email addresses.  So many that I had to get a small utility that checks them every 15 minutes for me.  It checks them all so I don't have to go to each one individually.  I think I posted about that utility in this board somewhere.

Yes, your broadband gets you online. Yahoo, Gmail and Hotmail are internet email providers. As far as I know, you can't just call them if one of them is down.
