That is awfully nice of you, Barb.  I hope they make it to Sheri and grow as well for her as they do for you.

Nice.  I love that little table.  I need something just that size for my kitchen so when we have company they can be comfortable when we cook.

Do you have a Big Lots?  Johnny wanted to buy one at Pier One but they were at least %400.00 and I didn't want to spend a lot of money so we got this for %100.00.

Yes, there is a Big Lots up in Olympia.  Will have to look there next time I head up.

this Big Lots just reopened in a newer building and they have a lot more stuff.  The other one was trashy.  I never shopped there.

I have never been to Big Lots.  But that is a super cute table and chairs, Sheri.  You said your new porch?  Did Mr. Rape do some work in there?

Mr. Rape did do some work on the porch.  I think it was at one time an open porch with a roof where they had their washer and dryer and then closed it in.  I'm just guessing all that.  It had one set of cheap, particle board cabinets on it.  When we first moved in there was some type of cheap, shiny, ugly panel stuff on the walls and some ugly and I do mean UGLY tile on the floor but the ceiling is tongue and grove wood.  So I pulled the panel stuff off the wall and underneath was just the old, wooden plank house with some white paint still on the wood that was the original house.  There was no insulation between the planks and the siding.  I scraped the planks and painted everything white, painted the cheap cabinets red and Johnny put brick tiles on the floor.  Over the last 10 years the paint on the walls had gotten chipped so Mr. Rape came in and insulated, put up beardboard on the walls, took down the old cabinets and built some nice ones and painted everything white again.  Johnny had a heating and air vent run out there so now we can leave the door between the kitchen and the porch open.  We've thought about removing the door that separates them but I'm not sure about that.

I've always thought that Big Lots was just a junk store but it's moved next store to Pier One.  There was a table at Pier One that we were going to buy but I was having a hard time spending $400.00 on a tiny table (I'd rather spend it on shoes) for a porch so I begged Johnny to walk next door.  I'm so glad we did.

I love Big Lots. Not for everything all of the time. But they have some great deals on some sweet stuff, sometimes. Congrats!
