I am doing as much as I can Jessica before school starts back up or I get a job... once that happens, I will not be able to craft full time like I am doing now.

please pardon the dust.  i hung it up where i could enjoy it and have.  but dusting is the last chore i worry about since i got sick, and i wasn't a big duster before.  there is a grape vine wreath behind it that another friend sent me.

I never dust either... that you enjoy it is the most important thing!

Triss, the weaths are awesome! I don't think I have seen them before. Great job!

I'm working on baby quilts for a friend who just had twins. Their colors are pink and green, with major emphasis on raspberry and lime. This is what I have so far...please excuse the crappy cell phone photo.

It's funny, I'm none too fond of pink, but I really like these ones together. :)

Here is my sewing projects.  Very Simple lol.

This is a hair ornament.  I sissor the hair between the folded metal inside the fabric roll my hair up and then bend the hair ornament to hold the hair in place.  Makes for nice buns and rolls.  I love the kimono fabric so I went back to get more for this an another project.

Here is the other project.  It didn't turn out exactly like I wanted.  I haven't quite figured out how to get it to do what I want but I'll continue to think about it.  Anyway it does work so "any port in a storm?"

I miss Triss, is she on anymore?

I've decided to start sewing.  Ha, ha the first problem I ran into is they don't make clothes patterns in my size.  I want to make vest but the pattern is weird.  It's a princess seam from the bust down but it flows into one piece at the yoke.  So it's like the piece is split.  Now exactly how to I get it from 44 inches to 49 inches at the bust line?  I need the extra fabric in the front where my boobies are.  Anyone ever seen this pattern piece?  It's simplicity easy sew but I really don't think so.

Do you have a fabric store near by, that you could pop into and ask for help? Or if there isnt, what about sending an email for help, maybe they could help you that way.

I've decided that what I want is a vest pattern that more readily matches the finished product I want.  So the vest is on the back burner.

Yesterday I bought 2 - 1/2 yard pieces of fake fur.  One looks like a guinea pig and one is a rich brown with a wave pattern through it.  I'm going to make boot toppers with them.  Maybe muffs or something with the extra I haven't decided.  You see I bought these brown half boots that I love but I got them second hand and wasn't wearing my glasses.  I've since discovered that they top part is disintergrating.  So I'm going to make these things that look like leg warmers only they are for boots.  It's just a cylinder with elastic on the top edge.  Very simple I hope.
Today I fray checked the first side of the fabric because the fake fur comes off the edges enthusiastically.

So I figure 4 days for glueing and drying and then one day for the elastic and sewing.  Wish me luck.

Thanks Jenn.  I've fray checked the second side.  So tomorrow I'll be sewing this pair and fray checking the other pair.  Considering how large my craftroom is, why am I running out of room?

I tried to sew the blanket binding to the blanket this morning.  Wow what a mess.  I caught the front but not the back and had to sew it twice.  And it puckered everywhere.  Next time I'm using double sided take and then sewing it down.  Of course with 3 blankets I'll be dead before I need another one.  It's so warm here most of the year I don't use one.
