I decided Mrs. Perle needed some work this morning.  so, i fixed her mouth into more of a smile, added a nose, and some hair.  Eliza Pearl had jet black hair (even at into her 90's at the nape of her neck) and dark brown eyes (what was called shoe button eyes back then).  and creamy white, irish skin.   here are the alterations to her.

and close of up her braid

Very nice looking Mrs. Perle.
I look at that though and think how fast Ted would have it in pieces just tossing and catching. I'm glad it is an ornamental keepsake as opposed to a play toy. Very cute!

it is a bit sturdier than it looks.  the braid is sewn to her head Smiley and the bow is sewn to the braid.  but it wouldn't take rough handling that is true.

Great Projects!  The only thing I'm working on is a Muff.  I know very old fashioned but I love them.

I think muffs are sophisticated but how do you keep up with it?  Gloves will fit in my pocket but I don't think a muff will.

i had a muff one time that had a clip on the ends to clip to my coat sleeves.  i don't remember just how it worked.  i also had one one time that had a string that i wore around my neck, like the keep up with your glasses kind of cord.  so when my hands weren't in it, it just hung there.

here is an afghan i quit working on when it was half done.  kate really liked it, so i finished the last row i was working on, then edged it with white and blue held together.

and a snowflake i did today

mind you the snow flake hasn't been starched and you can see i haven't hidden the tails yet either.  but wanted to share how it turned out.  it was a new pattern.  the flake is about 2 1/2 inches across.
