Oh boy... we were just put in a flood watch for this weekend.  Our major river here is set in the moderate zone.  I am hoping that we do not have any flooding at all.

It barely scraped 65* today and is on its way back down. The sun has dipped down behind the mountain and that is the time for the mercury to fall. And time for me to add wood.

I'm happy we'll break 60.. We broke it today. The downfall of the 1 1/2 day of warmer temps only to go back to freezing is the colds everyone gets. And yes, it really is too cold for December. We don't normally get this kind of temps until jan/feb.

We were talking weather at work the other day and our OIT guy said his Farmers Almanac says this will be the harshest winter we've seen in years.

Tina, it sounds like you have the best weather around.

It is raining here...  I know that is like a broken record for me.  When I drove into Napavine yesterday, all of the fields on the sides of the freeway are full of puddles of water.  The ground is saturated and anything else we get is going to turn those fields into lakes.  The rain is steady and consistent today which is good.  It would be a major downpour that would cause some serious flooding here or a levy break.

I hope it keeps from flooding conditions, Triss. Keep safe.
I am having a spurt of decent weather for sure. And the weather people are raving about how rare it is for December. But I remember many warm, shorts-wearing December days as I grew up. One year we had freezing rain followed by snow that accumulated and it stayed super cold all day. Our street was a sheet of ice and we were 'skating' on it in our sneakers. That was 3 days before Christmas. On Christmas Day my little brothers got new bikes and I was out teaching them to ride in shorts and a t-shirt. Yo-yo weather.
