House showing? Is it just a showing, or an open house? Do y'all have to leave during the showing?

I am not thinking as far as dinner. Probably leftovers. But this morning I have some biscuits in the oven and am heating up some sausage patties.

They are showing it, we will not be leaving as it is dinnertime. I will have the kids in one room though. Not an open house thank goodness.

I'm thinking we're gonna have Marlboro Man's 2nd favorite sandwich. It's got chicken, bacon, and cheese. Sounds tasty enough.

I was reading through here, trying to find some inspiration for the grocery list, and all I that stuck with me was pecan pie.

That is a fine thing to be stuck in your head Sarah but you may get tired of it if you try eating it for a week.

i realized i made 8 pecan pies in 5 weeks. that's a lot of pecan pie.
i also realized that i've made ham and potato soup 5 times in 2 weeks. including tonight. tonight was by request though so i'm not complaining.

oh, and for the record, i didn't not eat all 8.
i think i might have gotten enough to make 3/4 of one in that whole time. kate and matthew and ellie each had a couple of their own

WOW Jen... that is a lot of pie and soup.
I made our burgers tonight with Romano cheese in them... soooo yummy. I am not a huge cheeseburger person but I have found I enjoy the cheese cooked into the burger a ton.

They did not have asiago Jen so I went with the Romano. That and dried onions and garlic, salt and pepper and a healthy dose of Worcestershire sauce.
Oh I may make some of that for tomorrow to have on the stove as a healthy alternative to all of the snack food we are planning. That or some kind of soup.

Munchies... lots of munchies for tonight. I will also be making a goulash for a "real meal" for anyone who wants it.

Munchies here. With what we will be munching on, I am not serving a "real" supper...

I did end up putting together a batch of spaghetti... in case anyone wants real food at some point today. If not then dinner is made for tomorrow already.

Barbecued smokies, potato salad, vegetables (cauliflower, celery, broccoli, carrots, cherry tomatoes), cheeses (cheddar, monterey jack, pepper jack), chips, salsa, and a ranch/sour cream dip, and a vanilla creme cake. I think that is enough...

Mmmmm yummy. We totally skipped the veggie tray.
Went will clam dip, salmon mousse dip, 7 layer dip, spinach dip, BBQ smokies, mini quiches, and sushi. Oh and pizza rolls as well... mini eclairs and cream puffs for dessert.
