I have a recipe that calls for candied almonds.  Now that's easy enough to do as long as I can throw away the pan afterwards.  My question is how do I get it clean easily.  If I add water to solidifies into something like hard rock candy.  So what's the trick please?

Hot water should clean up any sugar mess easily enough? What is your pan made of?

put the water in it, then boil the water.  that will melt the sugar into the water, then pour it out and rinse with hot water.
