Welll, I guess I will have to go one way or the other, because I don't know how to get in touch with any of the others that said they were going.

I will be able to make it. I am staying off my foot as much as possible. If nothing else, I will use crutches...

Virginia says she has a wheelchair she could loan me, too...

Well, looks like Dianna will be hobbling along tomorrow night.  The weather is supposed to be nice and no rain.  I think they said a possibility of rain on Sunday now.  Hope it stays that way.  I'm bringing my camera and my voice recorder and a flashlight.  Think I'll leave the EMF and thermometer home for this trip.

Susan are you going to make the drive down from Myrtle Beach?

I will be definitely hobbling. I just have one request...

If we encounter anything, please don't leave me behind!

I think we should carry them. I may have the opportunity to use both if I have to sit down and rest....

I am sooooo excited! Can't wait to see what we can see...

That's right, Tina! Nothing happened....

We didn't make the tour. In downtown Charleston, SC, there are no places to park after dark. When we finally found a spot, we walked at least two miles trying to find the darn tour place. The directions that were printed out with our tickets, needless to say, were not helpful at all. When we finally found it, the tour had already started without us.

A young lady that was working there, too, told us that if we would follow her, that she would try and help us catch up to them. After walking three blocks, she decided we would never catch them at the rate we were walking because of my foot and crutches.... Sad

We decided to give up and walk back to the car. Jim finally left us behind at a church on the sidewalk and went on to get the car and pick us up so I wouldn't have to walk any farther...

I am sooooo disappointed...

The traffic was terrible.  Downtown Charleston is quite busy on a Saturday night and we left in plenty of time.  It should have only taken us 30 minutes to get there, which would have put us there at 8:30 for a 9:00 tour start.  Dianna stated it correctly in that either we were reading the directions wrong or they were wrong.  Add to that, the fact that there are no large street signs in Charleston and you have a good chance of getting lost if you don't know exactly where you are going.

I think if I had of known that we were going to have to find a place to park on the street, I would have either not gone or gone an hour earlier.  Well, there won't be another time.  I've not gone on my first and last Bulldog Tour.  Needless to say, if you ever get to Charleston, trying to park on Market St on a Saturday night is almost impossible.

DAD BURN IT! I'm soooo sorry you guys didn't get in! Here Dianna had been babying her foot all week & hoping she'd be in good enough shape to go on the tour! Now I hope she's not back at square one with all that walking she did!

Have you talked to your friends yet, so they know what happened?

I'm proud of her. She tried to keep up, and maneuver the crutches through the crowds of people. She would use the crutches a while then carry them. After close to 40 minutes of walking we thought that was enough. I could start to see the pain in her face and it wasn't worth that. The lady that was trying to find the tour said we could reschedule but I don't think we will. They have a terrible parking problem and I don't intend on going back until it is fixed.

I hate driving in that kind of traffic.

I talked to Polly yesterday. She said that she and her husband were very disappointed with the tour.

She said that it was not at all what they expected, that they were herded along those busy streets like cattle, and they had trouble staying with the group.

She also said that they should not be calling it a ghost tour. It should be called a history tour.

Needless to say that after paying $36.00 for tickets and $7.00 to park, I think that they wished that they had stayed home and watched A&E on tv.

She did say that she saw what looked like a black shawdow on the wall of St. Phillips Church. They took a picture, but the entire picture turned out black.

Did you try to call them?  Bulldog Tours I mean.  We didn't talk with them so I didn't try to call.  I don't have any desire to reschedule at a later date so guess we will just chalk it up to experience and avoid those kind of tours from now on.  I guess we can see why Chris and Ashley didn't want to go as they had attended the one for the Jail.

The other tour that we went on the jail  was good, but it was private. It was still through Bull Dog Tours. I guess you have to get a private one for it to be worth a darn.
