I found another light mystery series that features an angel. The book I read was by mary hart, and she has 3 or 4 different series going. The angel one I read was called "merry, merry ghost".  A feel good read.

I love those types of books.  I'll have to see if my library has any.

Currently I'm reading "Faking It," by Jennifer Curise.  I think that's how it is spelled.  I'm finding it very tongue and cheek which I also love.

she has other series, including one called "death on demand" which is centered on a book store owner who's store specializes in mysteries.  there are others, but i haven't read from her other series.  the death on demand books are pretty good too.

Now that I have some free time, I think I'm going to look up this Jennifer Cruise and get to reading!  Thanks for the suggestions!

I read her lies to me and didn't like as much as the other one but then it might have been the subjects she choose to cover hitting alittle close to home for me.

I'm reading another Mignon F. Ballard and loving it.  And I got the new Mercedes Lackey book, "Intrigue."  I'm really looking forward to that it's the second of the series.  Oh no I think I just finished that one it was the number 3 that I wanted to get.  lol, I'm such a mess.

Well I ran through 2 Jennifer Crusie books and loved them both.  One I stayed up until 4a.m. reading.  That messed up my schedule lol.  Today the book I bought, "Handbook of Ornament," by Franz Sales Meyer came in.  I'm really excited bout this one because I used to have two copies but lost them in the separation and could never remember the exact title or find it when I would google.  So now I have it back and this time I plan on holding on to it.

I have when I lose a book. I read 3 "feel good" books by Lisa Wright. I liked them. They are similar to Debbie macomber's work. Same kind of feel good stuff. I hate reading something that leaves me in a bad mood.

I'm with you one hundred percent.  I want to finish a book feeling good.  Right now I'm reading another Augusta Goodnight.  So far it's kind of a slow start.  We'll see how it goes from there.

I've been reading Sandra Brown.  I would swear they were written by different people.  Sometimes it seems like a woman wrote them sometimes a man and sometimes a gay man.  And then there are some I can't read at all because the subject matter bothers me.  Anyone else read hers?

Romance I guess.  About 60 best sellers according to her blurb.  Some are more like suspense it seems to me.  Some are close to pornographic to my mind.  But maybe my mind just stays in the gutter.

Sarah's Key is a great book.

Little Bee not so much.  I read it all and it's ok but not the greatest.

not me.  But I am thinking about reading the di vince code.  I was watching the bonus material from the DVD and it sounds interesting.  I didn't know it was a part of a series.

The DaVinci Code is deep and I had to take notes in order to follow it. And I also gave up, I think. I don't remember.

I'll see if the library has it.  Along with the others with the professor as the main character.  Thanks for the heads up.  I'll be prepared to take notes.

Jenn if you remember any of the titles please let me know.  I like the ones with receipes too.

the titles of the latest are as follows:

by isis crawford - a catered wedding, a catered halloween

by chris cavender - pepperoni pizza can be murder

and all of laura child's books have recipes in them.  they are great. she has 3 different series.  the cackleberry club, the tea shop mysteries, and the scrapbooking club mysteries.

none of the above have gratuitous violence or sex in the either.  they are good light reads that don't leave you in a bad mood.

I've added them to my TBR list.  I don't know when I'll get to them but it should be this year.

tammy, i found another book with recipes from a good author.  i had read some of these before, but i went to a different branch of our library to see what they had.  the author is joanne fluke and the books are about hannah swenson, the owner of a cookie/pastry shop and the books are full of cookie/sweetbread/dessert recipes.  the one i just read had a new recipe at every chapter.

Sarah's Key is an excellent book.  I read it a while ago.

Jenn, I read The Help and loved it.  Now I want to see the movie.

Heaven is For Real was an excellent book also.  Now I am reading The Island.  So far so good.
