Your right I used a double crochet going into the stem of the previous stitch to create a corded type edge before doing the pleat.  The top I did in a basket weave pattern and the sides are straight double crochet just because I wanted it to fall straight down on the sides.

Bedside table covers are done yeah.  Now I'm working on a slipcover for the heating pad.  Have you ever read all the dos and don'ts on those things.  I'm suprised your allowed to turn them on or plug them in.  Mine has a cover that falls off all the time so I decided to make a cover for it that wouldn't fall off.

That's a good idea, Duh. Are you doing it free hand or do you have a pattern?

Freehand, I even made a hole for the cord lol.  It was an easy project.

Now I'm working on fingerless gloves with a point and ring at the middle finger.  They are comming out ok.  At least it will give me the fit for some made of crochet thread in a lacy pattern.  Whenever I get money again.

Well of course the problem is I'm running out of yarn halfway through the second glove.  Awe well I'll manage somehow.  I've now got several partial skeins of yarn from a friend.  I guess I'll figure out something to do with them.

I've spent pretty much the entire day finishing up crocheted doll clothes and looking for crochet patterns on the internet that I might like to do next year.

I've enjoyed it.  I now have a grecian gown with a wrap made of cloth of gold, A dark blue ball gown, a gray sleeveless ball gown with a shell stitch shawl, an off the shoulder dress with a full circle skirt in a varigated green to purple color set, a yellow outfit including a one shoulder sweater with ribknit bottom, a mermain tea length skirt, and a shell stitched shawl.  I'm currently working on a light green outfit.  The top is a turtleneck longsleeve sweater.  The bottom is going to be a split skirt.  It's been fun to do these.  I tried to make doll clothes when I was young and then again when I had the girls.  Neither time was a success.  So it's nice to finally succeed.

I've snapped 9 picture 4 which turned out well enough to upload I think.  They are comming through now then I'll bring them over hear and see if I can shoot the others again.  I'm so lousy with a camera.  I just can't hold still.

Here is the first one

needless to say this isn't crocheted lol.  I just had some cloth of gold and decided this would be a good use for it.

I love full circle skirts and with the off the shoulder top tea length I think this came out great.

I barely had enough yarn to finish this one.  I love the front rounded slit look.

This is the first one I did.  I actually made it to cover a toliet paper roll.

And here are some more.

I ran out of yellow, wouldn't you know it.

This was super simple because I'm not a sewer lol.

This came out alittle bit big for my doll but it is the look I was going for.

And here is the hat that I crocheted that was suppose to go on my bed but ended up on the wall.  Sorry I couldn't get it all in the picture.  It is pretty big.

I was suprised to find out there are 3 different body types for the barbie.  thankfully I have a doll on hand that I can fit the clothes too.  Today I did a shrug, a shawl, a muffler, and I'm currently working on a cape.  This should pretty much finish off the left over yarn.

Watch out if you decide to do this.  I'm finding it addictive.

probably not.  Most people are probably taking care of the chores and not even mentioning it.  I'm so bad at ignoring the necessary to do the fun stuff.

I finished the cape.  It's not great but I did do what I wanted so I can't complain.  Now my doll needs a wardrobe lol.  I've got the wire so I've been making the hangers as I go along.  I really need a heavier gage though.  What I have is so thin it bends to easily.

Don't ask me why I wrote that twice.  I'm definitely loosing more brain cells than I'm making.  I found a tension rod that will work for barbies wardrobe.  I put it up in the window enclosure lol.  Now I'm gluing together a frame to make the barbie hangers with.  This will make them more uniform in shape and hopefully they will look better.  Who knows what will come next?

Ok I know what is comming next.  I'm crocheting a sweater for myself.  I'm alittle short on heavy sweaters.  Although I chose burgandy and I do already have one in that color.  Two can't hurt right?

Here is a nice shawl in a catherine wheel pattern.

This is a nice net shawl.

The perfect size split shell patterned muffler.

A nice sleeveless ruffled gown with a matching triangular shell stitch shawl.

And a yellow triangular shell stitch shawl.  I really like this pattern.

I'm thinking of doing a kimono next.  I have some material that would really look good I think.  We'll see what happens after I take off the christmas table cloth.  I wouldn't want to accidently cut into that.

Thank you, super simple but it used up the ends of the skeins that I needed to get rid of.
