Absolutely, My tush is always cold so I like the sweaters that go down to my thighs.  It takes more yarn but its so much better.  Plus I like the heaviness of a 4 ply yarn rather than the lighter kind that commercial sweaters are being made from.  That way I don't have to wear a sweater.

I just started the second skein on the sweater.  I'm excited about it.  I was working on it at the church social and a lady asked me to finish a scarf she started for her husband and can't complete.  This is good because i won't be able to buy any yarn until may and that means I'd be out of yarn for about a month.  So now that project should take up that month.  It's always good to be busy.

It's getting out of hand...this happens the moment I'm not paying attention.  Now I have one fingerless glove partially completed, the scarf partially completed, the batwing sweater needing to be frogged, and the boatneck cowl partially done.  Ugh.  I've got stuff strung all over.  What a mess.  It's a good thing I live alone.

Ok I'm 80% done on the scarf.  Now the problem is that it is getting alittle long and I'm not sure if I'm suppose to stop and make tassles or just keep going or stop period.  fun working without a set of instructions.  I wish I knew how to put in a safety line.  I'd do that and then knit the rest and if I needed to pull it out I could.

Well I made it long enough in my opinion and there is enough yarn left to make tassles if she wants them.  Hopefully she will be happy with what I did.  I'm just glad to be done.  Now I have to finish the fingerless gloves I was working on.

the gloves got frogged.  so now I have the sweater as a WIP and the easy peasy socks on the needles.  I've frogged the heel a number of times but I think I've got it now.

The easy peasy socks are on the trash pile.  I may try them against some time but not any time soon.  I'm going to work on the sweater for awhile.

I've started the fingerless black gloves and of course  I got the k and p mixed up.  But it still looks good so I'm going with it.  Anyone have a fancy buttons they are willing to trade for something I have?  I can't find any fancy buttons.  Sounds crazy doesn't it?

2 sets of 2 buttons each appropriate for teenager girls about 3/4 to 1 inch in diameter.
Thanks for looking.

Well I just did the thumb hole for the first glove and I'm about 1/4 of the way up the back of the sweater.

Hope you'll post pictures when you get finished with these projects.  And long sweaters are not only warm, they're also in style.

i don't think long sweaters ever really go out of style.  i love them and am contemplating trying my hand at making one.

My camera is acting weird.  It's on video and won't come off so I can't take any photos.  I'll have to dig out the instructions and deal with that at some point but life is way to busy right now to add that to the list of things to do.  Maybe next week.

I like "knitting" for sweaters because I use the worsted weight yarn and that is way to thick for pullovers in crochet in my opinion.  I don't like bulky things.

Thanks for looking.  That project is currently in the frog basket anyway.  I'm just a terrible knitter.
