We had Cracker Barrel last night. I wonder what we are having tonight since we will have the girls with us...

For a change, I made a good dinner tonight. We had steamed mixed veggies, long grain and wild rice, and
Smokey Cream Cheese Stuffed Chicken.
It was really quite tasty

I'm doing something I haven't done in years - frying chicken. I got skinless, boneless which I didn't mean to get boneless. Oh well.

That four onion stew sounds interesting, Tina. How do you make it?
Chicken pot pie tonight with green limas...

Salmon patties, corn, and loaded mashed baked taters...
Tina, I am wondering if you are going to post your tater popper recipe?

I will post if it works, Dianna. I am copying something that we love that comes out of our local taco place. But those are darned expensive for what you get.
Tonight I pulled pulled pork out of my freezer. I reheated with bbq sauce and have buns at the ready. Then cheddar potato poppers and broccoli.

Did your recipe work, Tina?
I went to the Thai House to pick us up some pork fried rice and chicken wings for supper...

It worked except I need to use sharp cheddar next time. The mild got buried inside there and disappeared.

Guess you must not have liked the recipe, Ariel. I don't see any new recipes...
We are having chili cheese dogs tonight. It is fast, easy, and we haven't had them for awhile...

Well I got so busy cooking for the missionaries yesterday I didn't get any of the stuffed pork lol. So today I'm having one of the steaks that were on sale when I went grocery shopping. Of course until I do the dishes I'm not cooking anything lol.

Today I baked popovers for breakfast, lunch, and possibly, if they last that long, dinner. Dinner will also include leftover dinner from the missionaries meal. We do have fun when we get together. It's nice to cook for a foodie. One of our missionaries right now is a baker and it's great to talk to him about food and recipes.

We had leftovers, too. Ham, corn, collards from Megan's, and leftover potato salad. Sure was yummy...

The ham is becoming Congressional Bean Soup. And I believe I have some jiffy corn muffin mix around here somewhere and there is some leftover macaroni salad in the fridge. That should tide me over for today. I love it when cooking stand double duty and helps to heat the house.

I fried some chicken thighs today and roasted some veges. I started to buy a whole chicken since I heard Martha Stewart say she's never bought "just" chicken parts but I was still going to cheat and buy an already cut up chicken. I thought better of that deal though. A whole chicken is a bit cheaper (which I'm sure is why Martha buys the whole thing......NOT) but if we like thighs why buy the back and breasts and gizzard?
