He cooks eggs and such and can do the micro. I'm not sure how well he actually "cooks" though I will be finding out. Just not until reporting is over.

I've got white beans on the soak for congressional bean soup tomorrow.  I know 83 is too hot to be simmering beans all day.  I just couldn't resist.  Really want the beans and I have the meaty ham bone all ready so I had to.

Last night we had ham with grilled squash from the garden and broccoli from Mr. Rape's garden.

Fresh broccoli sounds amazing!!

Tonight Adam fixed hamburgers but the grill ran out of propane.  He brought them in and for the first time in his life, pan fried the burgers.  Not too shabby for his first attempt either!

Tonight I'm making up some ribs, corn on the cob, maybe some biscuits with honey "butter", and maybe a salad.

Lemon pepper chicken, roasted baby tators, and veggies tonight.  Trying to keep the oven off now that the heat has kicked in.

Tonight it's Salsa chicken burritos.  I think it may even be Sarah's or Jessica's recipe?  I do need to go get the crockpot out and get it going though.

Sarah, lemon pepper chicken makes me think of Everybody Loves Raymond.  Have you ever watched that show.  It's the only thing the wife can cook and the husband doesn't like it.

I love eating from the garden.  Tonight it was squash, potatoes, roasted baby carrots, cucumbers in vinegar.  And of course chicken for Johnny.

I have seen it but I don't remember that being all that Debra can cook, though that sounds about right!  I'm still waiting for the garden to wake up - since we had snow on May 1st - and frosts for a week after that - everything is behind schedule.  Cherry tomatoes are just starting to turn.

For dinner tonight, I am thinking I will make some Asian Lettuce Wraps.  Not sure what I'm going to put with it though...

Sounds tasty, Sheri!  How do you keep the salmon whole on the grill?  Mine always falls to shreds out there.

I get the grill really hot, then turn it down to low flame and grease it with olive oil, turn it back up to high for a few seconds then put the salmon skin side up for 2 minutes then turn it over for 5 minutes or until it's done.  It doesn't stick if you grease the grill after it's hot.

Thanks!  I will have to try that next time.

Tonight we're having Siracha Shrimp Skewers with corn on the cob.

I never cook shrimp.  Not sure why that is but if I've ever cooked it I can't remember doing it.

Cooking shrimp is a little difficult because it's so easy to overcook it.  I won't eat it prepared in restuarants around here anymore because it's basically chewing gum by the time it makes it to the table.  I like my shrimp to be ... geez, what is the texture? almost crisp I guess, not rubbery and not mush.
