That's too bad Jim.  What about your neighbors?  My squash has done terribly but some friends and family have lots of squash and their cukes haven't done well and I have those.  Sometimes it's about sharing.

It's really disappointing when a garden gets trashed.

All my late planting has broken through the surface.  I even picked a mess of peas today that should make a pretty good meal.  Pulled one ear of corn that looked good.  Dianna cooked it and her Aunt Susan said it was much better than some corn that we bought from Walmart that we thought was good.  Guess I will need to go pick any more that might be ready tomorrow.

Dianna has some squash and cucumbers coming up that she started from seeds and then transplanted to the garden.  I have 2 rows of okra and several hills of cucumbers that I planted directly in the garden coming up as well.  Looks like if we get anything much from these, it will be late.

We'll see.  I'm not sure how things will do being so late.  Some plants don't like the hot part of the summer and may not produce as well.  I guess the best way to find out is like this.
