Here are the valentine fingerless gloves.  I still have to sew up the second one and correct the front one the thumb hole is to tight.  They look like doll clothes sitting on the table like that.  It's funny looking.

Thank you.  I learned a new technique for sewing stockinette stitch together for side seams.  The article is on Knitty.com called, "Putting it Together."  It makes it seem seamless on the outside.  I'm really glad someone turned me on to that site it has great stuff on it.  Not always easy to find but great once you get there.

They aren't everything I had hoped for but they make a nice set with the pink muffler.

I've started the 3rd pair of black fingerless gloves.  These are for Lana for christmas.  I'm not sure which buttons I'm going to use for these.  I was thinking the brass ones with anchors on them.  But then I have some vintage cream ones that might look nice too.  Once I have a glove completed I'll try each type and see what I like best.  Decisions, decisions lol.

One glove done except for tucking in the ends and sewing up the seam.  I'll probably do that tonight after fixing tomorrows dinner.

One glove done and the other one is going at a snails pace.  Don't ask me why because I haven't a clue.  Maybe I'm tired of the pattern and need to put it away until later in the year.  The only pair to do after this one is mine and that can wait since I have others.

I got about 3/4 of the way through the second glove.  I won't be doing any more today at least.  I just don't feel well enough.

I don't have pictures yet but Lana's black gloves are finished and they came out well.  The only question is if they will turn out to be to long.  And that's something that will have to wait until christmas to find out.

I'm going to do the Belle Ruffle Glove next.  I have the yarn for it which is the major consideration.  I really probably won't use it until the fall.

I showed Harriet the pattern and she talked me through some parts that I didn't understand.

I can't say I'm thrilled with knitting but I like the results once I learn the patterns.  But I'll tell you unless I really want a thing it isn't worth it.

Hopefully these won't take to long to do.

I've finished the ruffle and the trim at the top of the ruffle and about 1/2 of the plaquette area including two of the buttonholes.  I'm feeling very excited about the pattern.  I think it's going to look great in the red and black with the big crystal buttons.

I think this might be the picture to Lana's fingerless gloves.  Cross your fingers.

Success.

Ok, when I got to the point where I needed to join the glove and work with 4 needles all progress stopped.  I'm just not happy with that technique.  So, I talked to Harriet and she told me how to work it flat.  I undid the work I had done in the round and worked it flat.  I have the thumb to complete and sewing up the side of the hand and the first one is done.  I'm excited.  I'll get you a picture when I complete the first one.

Thumb is finished.  I'm not sure how to deal with the roll up on the stockinette.  I'm thinking of dipping them in boiling water or maybe ironing.

The ironing worked well.  Now I just need to sew but I'm just not interested in doing it right now.

So I started my pair of Easy Black Fingerless Gloves.  And I've finished knitting the first one.  I just need to sew it up and put on the button.  I hope to do that today.  I haven't quite decided if I'll use my invisible thread or work with the black and the white yarn.

so you got me motivated duh and a friend and I went to Cottage Yarn today and I spent $80.00 on yarn and needles.  I'm going to try and make 2 scarves for myself.  Pray for me.
