robert waters daily but it isn't absolutely necessary.  some days it gets skipped and if we have good rain for a few days, we skip more than a day or two.  the buckets are deep enough that they don't dry out the way regular pots do.

Yup, looking good. I have a brown thumb. Trying to get rid of the stickers, I killed the whole yard, including where the grass was growing nicely. lol
Dear Lord, On this day, please wrap your arm around my shoulder and keep your hand over my mouth.  Amen

I agree they are looking good.

Barb I'm afraid that will happen to my lawn too when I finally start working on it.

for as good as it looks... these were a couple of months ago.  there are 3 watermelons, but they are not ripening right.  not a single cantaloup in spite of lots of blooms.  3 tiny squash.  the tomato split.  the okra went from not ripe at all to dried out and i'm just waiting on seed.  and so it goes. i think it just got too much water, robert thinks he over watered on days it didn't rain.  we still have one fig (not quite time for it to be ready) and we have been nibbling a blueberry here and there.  the sunflowers are not even happy anymore.

I've got your cantaloupes.  I didn't plant a vine but I've got one growing and it's full of cantaloupes that will be ready in a day or two.  I don't even like cantaloupes.

Are you going to plant that fig tree in the fall?  We've got tons of figs but they're watery.  Never been like that before.  They taste good, I actually like them better because they aren't so sweet, but I have to be careful getting them off the tree or they fall apart from the moisture.

yes, the fig tree and blueberry bushes will go in the ground in october i think.  i think it will still be too warm before then.  but we'll see.  i'm also hoping the ground will dry out a little as well.
