A Fast Way to do Acorn Squash

Costanza Farms Acorn Squash Recipe

Preheat whole squash 1 minute in the microwave.
Cut in half, remove seeds and membranes.
Microwave on high, flesh side down in 1/4 cup water for approximately 8 to 10 minutes (15 minutes in 700 watts microwave) or until tender.
Turn over when fork tender.
Drizzle with brown sugar, butter, honey or maple syrup.  Serve each half as an individual serving.  As a variation use orange juice as a water substitute when cooking.

Note:  Here is what I did.  I have some old powdered orange drink.  I dissolved that into the 1/4 cup of water.  And I used the brown sugar and butter for the drizzle.  Super Yummy with the steak.  I can have many more acorn squash with this quick recipe.  And put that old powdered drink mix to good use.

Possible Problem:  Fitting both halves of the acorn squash in the microwave.  I had a skinny squash and I could barely fit it into my microwave safe pie plate and that's the widest thing I have that is microwave safe.
