Hi William. I have missed you.
I live in the desert in the middle of a drought. I don't really have a lot of weather to report. Most of us tend to just stick a sentence into a post in the lounge.
Today it is cool (under 80*) and overcast. Wind may kick up today. That is always worrisome in a drought situation.

A little overcast. I need to put new batteries into my weather station thing. I know I am supposed to put either the outdoor portion or indoor portion first to make sure it works correctly. But I cannot remember which one.

Yep, definitely layer wearing weather. Got to begin peeling it off but keep it close because you will be needing it again. We began today in the mid 50's.

As for changing batteries; normally you would want to change the transmitter first so that when you put new ones in the receiver it finds the signal rather quickly.

Was 48° here this morning and up to 68° now.  By the end of the week they are calling for frost!  We'll see.

Thanks, Jim. I thought you would know.
This week is to be mostly cool nights and moderate days. They ae saying Halloween is going to be cool and nice but next weekend includes a 4 letter word. Rain. I'll believe it when I see it.

Tina, I didn't know you have a weather station thing.  I'd like to have one.

Our weather has been lovely.

My 'weather station' is just a two piece unit. The main part goes outdoors and the other part stays inside. the inside tells me temps outside and in and also humidity. Then the outside highs and lows for the day. A fairly simple unit. Not as much info as Jim's set up.

We are supposed to have a cold front move through tomorrow afternoon with some showers/storms with it. Nothing serious they say, but cooler temps to follow (70s for highs instead of 80s)

They are saying frost for us on Sunday morning.  Of course the high yesterday was 80°+.  I'm ready for some cooler weather.  I don't really want to mow the grass again!
