Spring 2015 Flowers
« on: Apr 16, 2015, 12:26:37 PM »
So far this spring the daffodils, anenomies, forsynthia, Chinese Lanterns and one lone tulip have flowered for the spring.  Next month I'm looking forward to the peonies.  Now I just have to figure out what to put in the garden for the summer.  Something drought tolerant.

the daffodils, tulip poplar (aka tulip magnolia), tea olives, carolina jessamine, wisteria, and most of the fruit trees have finished blooming.  now we have roses, azaleas (although they are almost done), and other stuff... i just don't remember very well.

very pretty tammy.  the dogwood won't really crowd the cypress.  they like to be "nestled" under something.  either another tree, or in the corner of a house/porch, or something like that.

Thank you, I've been busy planting new things.  Hopefully they will all come up or I'll get pictures before the slugs, rabbits, and deer get to it.

duh, that last purple flower looks sort of  like what I call money plant.  The flowers will turn into white discs that will have the seed inside.  You've done so much with that yard.

Is that white one really a weed?  Sure is pretty for a weed.

Thank you bestofour.  I was thinking that might be it.  And the white flower is cute so we'll just call it a volunteer rather than a weed.

I've got to get back out there and take some more pictures.  I bought 3 dragonwing begonia that were really cheap and i would like to get pictures.  And the purplish irises are coming up now.
