got the regular purple so I think I am all set.  Finished the purple flower so now one of the yellows, blues, and purples are done.  And I have an orange and green cut ready to sew.  One more after that and I'll have an entire row cut.  Look at me go, woohoo.

rearranged the colors twice more.  I may not be completely satisfied with the arrangement yet but at least I'm getting closer.  Should I count how many times I've arrange it already?

probably not tammy.  i'd just be happy that you are closer this time than last, and keep going.

i was with sarah loo (LandOfOz) at a quilt shop friday.  i thought about you and how you'd like it.  i don't quilt much and i enjoyed it.

I'm sure you are right.

I got the purple added to the yellow and realized why people baste the cardboard templates in.  Otherwise they pop out.  So I spent yesterday evening basting and now there is one more step to the process.  But so far so good.

I was right in thinking that the darker colors were going to blend into the "pathway" somewhat but I'm willing to go with it.  It gives the eye resting places.  Not so great if it were for display but as my car quillow it will be more than ok.

got the first two pathway hexie sewn on between the purple and the yellow.  Those are not easy to do.  It may mean that I will go slower than I thought at first but i can live with that.  I'm still within the 1 week per flower goal.

Yesterday  I got the third flower put together while I was sitting in a meeting.  That was good and then when I got home I attached another 5 pathway hexies to the flimsie.  There is still more to do on those but it is closer than I was.

all 12 of the pathway hexies are attached.  I still need to sew the sides of six of them to complete that round but it's nice to get that far in one day.  I'm feeling like this may be one project that will stay ahead of the schedule.

4 more hexie on the path to sew the sides of and then I'm ready to attach flower three.  I also basted the petals on flower 4 and 5.  I cut the petals for flower 6 and have ironed two of them over their templates.  So I made a far amount of progress on the quilts.

I can't picture it yet either.  But the pathway around the second flower is finally completed.  I won't start on flower 3 adding it to the top until maybe tomorrow.  My arms are tired.

I ironed the petals around the templates for flower 6.  Now I need to cut more pathway pieces and get them ready to sew because I only connect two seams of the flower to the top before adding the pathway pieces.  So much to do lol.

I cut the pathway pieces.  I connected the flower 3 to the top it took 3 seams not 2.  And then i started putting flower 4 together.

yes it does move much faster than I anticipated.  Flower 4 is together and I got all of the pathways for flower 3 basted and two attached to the flower.  So I hope to get another 4 pathway pieces attached today anything more than that is gravy.

I was working on this one today at the meeting.  Debbie fell in love with it and wants to do one.  She has picked up knitting very quickly and is doing wonderful stuff.  So I stopped today to make her 28 of the hexagon templates and to gather up some other tools that are expensive to buy that she will need.  This evening I'll go through my scraps for pieces that are large enough to make hexagons with.

I'm a little concern about handing over expensive equipment to a person with only a year in the program.  But they are duplicates and are gathering dust at my place.  I hope I am making the right decision.

Flower 4 is attached and half of the pathway pieces are sewn to it.  I'm not sure what is slowing me down or it is just that working on the pathway is harder because I have to handle the entire top.  But progress is being made and that is the important part.

I'm down to the last two pieces on flower 4's pathway.  So I got a little accomplished on it last night.
